On 31 October 2022 the Governor in Council approved the appointment of Mr Simon Nicholson as the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor (WHS Prosecutor). This followed the recommendation of the Honourable Grace Grace, Minister for Education, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Racing, pursuant to the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. Mr Nicholson is the second appointed WHS Prosecutor for a period of five years, since the commencement of the WHS Prosecutor on 18 March 2019.
